It is now only a matter of time before Yanga fans see defender and vice-captain Dickson Job back on the pitch, with the long-serving centre-back having begun stepping up his return after a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
Yesterday, Yanga played a friendly match against JKT Tanzania at the Gymkhana grounds, with Wananchi securing a 2-1 victory.
Job was given playing time in the match, marking the beginning of his official comeback after being sidelined since March when he suffered an injury in a match against Simba.
This is welcome news for Yanga fans, as the squad is now nearing full strength after all the players who had been injured recovered.
Striker Clement Mzize, who had also been sidelined for an extended period, was among Yanga’s scorers in the victory over JKT Tanzania.
Mzize appears to be ready for action and could potentially feature in the upcoming match against Simba, scheduled for October 10.
