Mngqithi Reveals Plan to Restore Aziz Ki to Top Form for CAF Champions League

Yanga SC head coach Manqoba Mngqithi has outlined his plan to help attacking midfielder Stephane Aziz Ki return to his best form and become an important part of the squad’s CAF Champions League campaign this season.

Yanga SC will officially begin their CAF Champions League campaign tomorrow, Saturday, with a clash against Botswana’s Gaborone United, kicking off at 8:00 p.m. East Africa Time at the Botswana National Stadium.

After missing the first four league matches, Aziz Ki returned to action in the game against Fountain Gate, where he demonstrated his importance by providing the assist for the opening goal scored by striker Peter Shalulile.

Aziz Ki played for an extended period before being substituted for Mudathir Yahya. Mudathir went on to score the second goal, helping Yanga secure a 2-0 victory.

Manqoba: We Need Aziz Ki in the Champions League

Speaking after the match, Manqoba revealed that Aziz Ki has not yet reached 100 percent fitness, but the technical bench is doing everything possible to get him back to his best as quickly as possible.

“Aziz Ki is a very important player for us and we need him in the upcoming Champions League matches. He is not 100 percent fit yet, but we are pushing him to make sure he is ready as soon as possible,” Manqoba said.

The statement clearly shows that Yanga are counting on Aziz Ki as part of their plans to perform well in Africa’s most competitive club competition.

Undergoes Extra Training

As part of efforts to make that plan a success, Aziz Ki has been seen undergoing extra training after completing the team’s regular training sessions.

The move demonstrates the Burkina Faso international’s determination and motivation to return to his best form and become a major asset for Yanga this season.

With his ability to create chances, provide key passes and score goals, Aziz Ki could be one of the most important players in Yanga’s CAF Champions League journey.

Wananchi Target the Final

Yanga have made significant signings, with a major part of the club’s plans focused on performing strongly in the CAF Champions League.

The Wananchi have made their ambition clear: they want to go further in the competition, with the ultimate target of reaching the final.

On that journey, the readiness of key players such as Aziz Ki could play a major role. If he can reach his peak form at the right time, Aziz Ki could become one of Yanga’s key weapons as they look to make new history in African football.
