Tanzania Premier League champions Yanga SC officially unveiled Namibian striker Peter Shalulile late last night, with the prolific forward speaking publicly for the first time and sending an early message to the club's arch-rivals, Simba SC.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns striker said one of the things he is most looking forward to is playing in the famous Kariakoo Derby.
Shalulile admitted that the derby's unique atmosphere has already begun to excite him, even before stepping onto the pitch.
"Every time I think about the derby, I get a special feeling—it gives me goosebumps. A friend of mine who plays for Simba told me it is the best derby you will ever play in your life, and now I'm here to experience that moment for myself," Shalulile said confidently.
The arrival of the Namibian international is expected to strengthen Yanga's attacking options, with supporters hoping to see him make his debut in the Community Shield clash against Simba, scheduled for August 12, 2026.
