Yanga Sports Club is today expected to hold a constitutional event as its members gather in large numbers at the Super Dome Hall in Masaki, Dar es Salaam, to participate in the club's Annual General Meeting, which will take place alongside the General Election for new leaders.
The meeting is scheduled to officially begin at 9:00 a.m., giving members the democratic opportunity to elect a new leadership team that will guide the club for the next four years.
Yanga President, Engineer Hersi Said, who is seeking a second term in office, has invited all members to attend the meeting and exercise their constitutional right by taking part in the election.
"As the Executive Committee, we would like to say that today will be a historic day for our club. It is a landmark meeting that will open a new chapter in Yanga's history. We sincerely thank all Yanga members and supporters for the unwavering support you have shown us throughout our time in leadership.
Members participating in the election should recognize that this is a very important day for the broader interests of our club. We are set to make several constitutional amendments that will place our club in a more modern and effective governance environment.
We strongly encourage everyone to make the right decisions—ones that will open new doors for development and secure a brighter future for our club," Hersi said.
