Nigerian midfielder Morice Chukwu is not part of the Singida Black Stars squad preparing for the CECAFA Kagame Cup tournament in Rwanda.
This follows his decision to reject a new contract offer to continue playing for the Singida-based club.
Sources within Yanga's leadership have confirmed that the Tanzanian champions have already secured the versatile midfielder, who can also operate as a central defender.
It is now only a matter of time before Chukwu is officially unveiled as a Yanga player and begins a new chapter with the club, which has started its preparations at Avic Town.
Chukwu is expected to replace Mohamed Damaro, after Yanga ended plans to sign him permanently following the expiration of his six-month loan deal.
Damaro has returned to his parent club Singida Black Stars after the proposed move to Yanga fell through.
