Yanga are continuing to strengthen their squad during the current transfer window, with reports indicating that the club has secured the signature of KMC FC attacking midfielder and winger Eric Mwijage Edson.
The 24-year-old, who was one of KMC's key players despite the club's relegation last season, has reportedly signed for the Jangwani giants and is expected to bolster the Wananchi's attacking options ahead of both domestic and continental competitions.
Before completing his move to Yanga, Mwijage—who previously played for Kagera Sugar—had been linked with several clubs, including Singida Black Stars and Pamba Jiji FC.
One of Mwijage's biggest strengths is his versatility. He is capable of playing in multiple attacking positions, operating effectively as either a winger or an attacking midfielder behind the striker.
Yanga are carrying out a major squad overhaul during this transfer window. The club's Information and Communications Manager, Ali Kamwe, has indicated that extensive reinforcements have been made as part of a strategy to rebuild the squad, maintain domestic dominance, and improve the team's performance in continental competitions.
