Fountain Gate attacking midfielder Juma Abushiri, popularly known as "Chuga Boy," has already arrived in Dar es Salaam as he awaits his official unveiling by Tanzanian champions Young Africans SC (Yanga).
Chuga was scheduled to travel to Belgium on July 12 to undergo trials with KRC Genk, but that move has now been officially abandoned after the winger informed Fountain Gate's management of his decision to join Yanga.
The youngster had been with Tanzania’s youth national team, and after the camp was concluded, his next destination is expected to be Jangwani.
The young player has received approval from his parents to join Yanga. The club has agreed to buy out the remaining period of his contract with Fountain Gate, allowing him to pursue his dream of playing for the club based around Twiga Street and Jangwani in Dar es Salaam.
Yanga have offered Chuga a three-year contract, which includes an attractive salary and a signing fee.
The deal was finalized last week by one of Yanga’s senior officials, who travelled to meet the youngster’s parents. They gave their full approval for him to begin his journey with the club.
