After a difficult spell with injuries, good news for the Wananchi is that their defender Dickson Job and striker Clement Mzize are close to returning to the squad.
Both Mzize and Job have already started light training and could potentially rejoin their teammates during pre-season preparations for the upcoming campaign.
While Mzize and Job are expected to return soon, Yanga SC will continue to be without Pacome Zouzoua, who underwent surgery after sustaining an injury in the final match of last season against JKT Tanzania.
According to an earlier statement from Yanga SC, Pacome will remain under medical supervision for six weeks, after which a clearer timeline for his recovery will be determined. Due to the nature of his injury, he could be sidelined for several months.
Yanga SC players are expected to return to camp at the end of this month to begin preparations for the 2026/27 season.
