Yanga SC are expected to enter the transfer market in search of a new defensive midfielder after deciding not to make Mohamed Damaro Camara's move permanent following his loan spell from Singida Black Stars.
Damaro spent six months with the Tanzanian champions, but the club has opted to allow him to return to Singida Black Stars as part of its plans to strengthen the midfield.
Yanga President Engineer Hersi Said recently pledged significant improvements to the squad during the upcoming transfer window, which is expected to open soon.
Speaking after the club's celebrations for winning a fifth consecutive Tanzania Mainland Premier League title, Hersi admitted that the team faced some difficulties last season because several new signings failed to establish themselves in the squad.
He assured Yanga supporters that the club will make major additions to the team with the aim of reclaiming every trophy they missed out on during the past season.
