Yanga Communications Manager Ali Kamwe has confirmed that celebrations for the club’s fifth consecutive NBC Premier League title will take place this Saturday, July 4.
Kamwe explained that the victory parade was initially planned to be held only in Mwanza, but after consultations, it has now been extended to start in Mwanza and conclude in Dar es Salaam at Jangwani, as has been the tradition in previous celebrations.
He further revealed that former Simba captain Mohamed Hussein, popularly known as “Zimbwe Jr,” will lead the celebrations on a special parade vehicle. Notably, the convoy will pass through Msimbazi Street, home to the headquarters of his former club, where a special moment is expected.
This will mark Yanga’s fifth consecutive league title celebration, with the club continuing to expand its tradition of nationwide victory parades that begin in the regions and end in Dar es Salaam.
