Yanga SC goalkeeper Aboutwalib Mshery has called on the club's supporters to turn up at KMC Complex and cheer the team on in their Mainland Premier League match against TRA United, scheduled for Saturday, June 27.
With the fixture marking Round 29 of the league, a victory would move Yanga a step closer to winning a fifth consecutive league title. If they secure all three points, they could need just one more point in their final match of the season against JKT Tanzania next Tuesday to clinch the championship.
Mshery acknowledged that the match will be challenging but promised that the team will fight for victory, describing the support of Yanga fans as a crucial weapon.
"Tomorrow's match will be very difficult. There is nothing easy about this game. We need three important points to put ourselves in a strong position heading into the final league match."
"We really need the encouragement of our fans starting with tomorrow's match and continuing into the final game. Their support will give us the strength we need to achieve positive results," Mshery said.
Yanga head into the match remembering the last meeting between the two sides, which ended in a goalless draw at Sheikh Amri Abeid Stadium in Arusha.
However, this time Yanga are expected to field a full-strength squad, with the club aiming to claim all three points.
