Yanga attacking midfielder Allan Okello was in outstanding form during the month of May, delivering record-breaking performances for his club across multiple matches.
Despite strong competition from Azam FC midfielder Feisal Salum and Simba’s Clatous Chama, Okello’s statistics strongly support his case for the Player of the Month award, which is yet to be officially announced by the league board.
Okello featured in six matches, scoring nine goals and providing one assist. He was the top scorer in May and also set a remarkable record of scoring twice in four consecutive matches.
Feisal Salum scored seven goals and registered one assist, while Clatous Chama scored five goals and provided four assists. In total contributions, Okello was involved in 10 goals, compared to Chama’s nine and Feisal’s eight.
In terms of discipline, Okello did not receive any yellow cards during May, while both Feisal and Chama picked up one booking each. Based purely on performance statistics, Okello stands out as a strong candidate for the award.

It is worth noting that Okello joined Yanga in January, yet his impact has already placed him in contention for even the season’s top individual awards.
He has scored a total of 11 goals and provided seven assists so far, trailing Feisal Salum, who has 14 goals and eight assists.
