Reports from reliable sources within Yanga’s leadership indicate that the process of bringing back attacking midfielder Stephane Aziz Ki has reached an advanced stage.
Aziz Ki, who currently plays for Al Ittihad of Libya, has reportedly informed Yanga officials of his desire to return to Tanzania and reunite with his football family.
Concerns over security conditions in Libya are also said to be among the reasons pushing the Burkina Faso international to seek an exit, despite only joining Al Ittihad during this year’s mid-season transfer window.
The potential return of Aziz Ki would be a major boost for Yanga, as it would further strengthen their attacking midfield department, where the club is currently enjoying the strong performances of Allan Okello.
It could also be worrying news for rival teams, who are already struggling to contain Okello and are fully aware of Aziz Ki’s quality and impact whenever he wears the Yanga jersey.
Yanga are expected to make significant squad improvements once the transfer window opens, with the club aiming to return strongly in the CAF Champions League campaign.
