Yanga goalkeeper Djigui Diarra has been nominated for the Mali Best Player Award for footballers playing in African leagues.
Diarra will compete for the award alongside Yoro Diaby of Azam FC, Aliou Dieng of Al Ahly, and Aboubacar Diakite of Esperance.
The Yanga shot-stopper is considered one of the favorites to win the award due to his outstanding performances for both Yanga and the Mali national team.
In addition, the goalkeeper, popularly nicknamed “Arrow Catcher,” has also been included in Mali’s squad for the upcoming international friendly match against Iran.
