Pyramids FC striker Fiston Mayele has been included in the DR Congo squad set to participate in the FIFA World Cup, which is scheduled to kick off on June 11 in Canada, Mexico, and the United States.

Mayele is the only player from the current generation of footballers who have played in Tanzania to feature at the World Cup, where he will represent his country on the global stage in the most prestigious international competition.

He famously set a record as top scorer in the CAF Confederation Cup while at Yanga, before repeating similar success in the CAF Champions League with Pyramids FC.
