Yanga held a training session today at KMC Complex as part of their preparations before traveling to Zanzibar for the Muungano Cup.
The team is expected to depart from Dar es Salaam to Zanzibar on Sunday as they aim to defend the title they won earlier this season.
The 2026 Muungano Cup is scheduled to take place from April 21 to 29, featuring a total of eight teams from Mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar.
According to the organizers, all matches will be played at New Amaan Complex in Unguja, with the tournament aiming to strengthen national unity through sports while also promoting football talent development.
Teams expected to participate from Mainland Tanzania include Yanga, Simba, Azam FC, and Singida Black Stars, while Zanzibar will be represented by KVZ FC, Mlandege FC, Mafunzo SC, and Muembe Makumbi City.
