This season, Yanga Princess are determined to end their trophy drought as they fully commit to chasing the Women’s Premier League (WPL) title.
Since joining the Women’s Premier League, Yanga Princess have never won the championship, but this time the team has strong reasons to believe it can finally happen.
After playing 12 matches, Yanga Princess have won 11 and lost only once, a defeat that came against their rivals Simba Queens.
Rwandan star Jeanine Mukandayisenga is leading Yanga Princess’s charge for the title.
Jeanine is currently the top scorer in the WPL, having netted 18 goals in just 12 matches.
Out of those goals, she has scored four hat-tricks, meaning she has netted more than 12 goals in just four games.
Today, she is expected to lead Yanga Princess in their match against Tausi FC at Azam Complex.
