Yanga’s squad is heading to Mwanza today ahead of their Premier League match against Pamba Jiji scheduled for Wednesday, April 8, at CCM Kirumba Stadium.
In that match, Yanga could once again be without their striker Laurindo Aurélio “Depu,” who is still regaining full fitness after recovering from injury.
Depu, along with fellow striker Prince Dube, missed the previous match against Tanzania Prisons despite having resumed training.
While Dube has a chance of returning for the clash against Pamba Jiji, Depu is expected to miss the game and may instead return in the CRDB Cup match against TMA scheduled for April 11.
Yanga’s Head of Information and Communications, Ali Kamwe, confirmed that Depu is not yet 100 percent fit.
Yanga need all three points against Pamba Jiji to maintain their position at the top of the table and keep alive their ambition of winning a fifth consecutive league title.
