Yanga SC has announced EMWANI as the new partner in its initiative to identify and nurture football talent through the Yanga SC Soccer School project.
Speaking at a press conference earlier today, Yanga’s Media and Communications Manager, Ali Kamwe, said that EMWANI has committed to sponsoring 10 students who will join the Yanga Soccer School.
The club, in collaboration with the company, has organized special trials scheduled for Saturday, where 10 young players will be selected to join the school under EMWANI’s sponsorship.
“Our Yanga Soccer School project has progressed significantly, just as Pitso Mosimane predicted. This process has received strong support from various stakeholders to help nurture talented youth,” Kamwe said.
“Today, our fellow Tanzanian Leo Mendez, owner of EMWANI, has committed to supporting the Yanga Soccer School project. Therefore, EMWANI is our official partner in identifying and developing football talent through Yanga SC’s Soccer School initiative.”
“Yanga SC and EMWANI have organized trials on 28/03/2026 (Saturday) at the TFF Kigamboni Center. The club officially announces various locations with academies where registration is open. Registration started at Jangwani. EMWANI will select 10 players to sponsor in joining the Yanga Soccer School.”
“The winner of the Yanga SC and EMWANI trials will receive TSh 3 million, the runner-up TSh 1 million, and semi-finalists TSh 500,000. These prizes are sponsored by EMWANI. Academy owners are encouraged to register participants early, either at Jangwani or via Yanga’s email. Participants must be under 18,” Kamwe added.
