After Yanga’s squad returned to Dar es Salaam earlier today from Dodoma, where they played their latest Premier League match against Mtibwa Sugar, the team will now enter a FIFA calendar break of approximately 10 days.
Yanga’s Head of Information and Communications, Ali Kamwe, has stated that during this break, the club’s leadership under President Engineer Hersi Said is expected to meet and conduct a review of the team’s first-round performances.
Kamwe explained that despite finishing the round at the top of the league standings, the evaluation will focus on all areas, including strengths to build on and weaknesses that need improvement.
"There have been many opinions from our members and fans, but I urge them to remain calm. Our leaders are attentive, and I believe all important matters will be addressed," said Kamwe.
There has been growing pressure from some members and fans calling for changes in the technical bench, following dissatisfaction with the team’s recent performances.
In their last five league matches, Yanga have won only two and drawn three consecutively against Azam FC, TRA United, and Mtibwa Sugar.
