Yanga’s Head of Information and Communications, Ali Kamwe, has stated that Yanga is currently the best team in the country, which is why other teams use it as a benchmark to measure their progress.
Kamwe emphasized that the team will continue fighting to achieve its goals of winning the Premier League title and defending all the trophies they currently hold.
"There is still no team better or more complete than Yanga. We understand that the level we are at makes us the benchmark for all teams in the country."
"Any team that manages a draw against Yanga believes it has improved, because our opponents know it is not easy to beat us."
"We understand that our level is about winning the championship, which is why we carefully consider opinions given about us as an institution with strong leadership."
"We work on the positive feedback, but we ignore the negative, with the aim of improving even further."
"At the end of the season, no team will be remembered for drawing with Yanga; what will be remembered is the team that wins the championship," said Kamwe.
Kamwe made these remarks in response to various opinions from analysts, fans, and football stakeholders regarding Yanga’s performance in their recent Premier League match against Azam FC, which was played last Sunday at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium and ended in a goalless draw.
