Parents have been urged to take their football-talented children for trials to join the Yanga Soccer School program, now sponsored by GSM.
The program, which was launched by Yanga a few months ago, initially required parents to pay fees. However, with GSM’s sponsorship, those who successfully pass the trials will join the program without any additional costs.
Speaking at a press conference earlier today, Yanga’s Information and Communications Manager, Ali Kamwe, announced that the official talent launch and trials will take place on March 8, 2026.
Parents are required to register their children at Yanga’s headquarters in Jangwani, Dar es Salaam.

"The requirements include the child’s birth certificate, an identification letter from local government authorities, and a consent letter from a parent allowing the child to participate in the program," Kamwe stated.
The GSM Foundation will cover school fees, meals, uniforms, and other necessary support for 20 selected players to join Yanga Soccer School. The program is open to youths aged between 15 and 17 years.
Registration begins today, March 3, 2026, and will run until March 6, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
