Tomorrow, Sunday, March 1, 2026, at 2:15 PM, Tanzania will come to a near standstill for about 90 minutes as traditional rivals Yanga and Simba face off at the New Amaan Complex in Zanzibar.
The match brings together the two most supported clubs in the country. This will be their second meeting this season, following the Community Shield clash played on September 16 last year, where Yanga emerged victorious with a 1-0 win.
The only goal in that match was scored by Pacome Zouzoua, marking his third goal in Kariakoo derby fixtures.
Pacome joins Maxi Nzengeli as the players with the most goals in Kariakoo derby matches among the current Yanga and Simba squads.
Tomorrow, the two stars will be chasing another historic milestone. If either scores, they will move closer to becoming one of the all-time top scorers in the history of the derby.
