For the first time yesterday, Yanga fans witnessed their new winger Buba Jammeh open his goal account for the club, scoring both goals in a 2-0 victory over Cosmopolitan in the CRDB Cup Round of 64.
The pacey winger, known for his blistering speed, has reminded Yanga supporters of former fan favorite Tuisila Kisinda, popularly known as “TK Master.”
However, Buba has already shown a key difference from Kisinda in terms of efficiency, appearing to possess a sharper eye for goal.
He troubled Cosmopolitan’s defenders, especially in the first half, and perhaps could have completed his brace even earlier in the match played at the KMC Complex.
The winger has trained with Yanga for only about a week, yet he already looks set to become an important player in coach Pedro Goncalves’ squad.
Yanga signed Buba just hours before the January transfer window closed, bringing him in as a replacement for Celestin Ecua, who was loaned out to JS Kabylie.
