Yanga team doctor Moses Etutu has confirmed that forward Pacome Zouzoua is recovering well after sustaining an injury during the CAF Champions League match against JS Kabylie, played in Zanzibar, where Yanga secured a 3β0 victory.
Etutu explained that the Ivorian star suffered a shoulder problem following a collision with the JS Kabylie goalkeeper.
He has now been given a few days of rest before returning to the field to resume his duties.
"Pacome experienced a problem after colliding with the JS Kabylie goalkeeper, but he is currently doing well," said Etutu.
"He has only been given some time to rest and fully recover before returning to continue with his responsibilities," he added.
Today, Yanga will face Cosmopolitan at the KMC Complex in a Round of 64 match of the CRDB Cup.
It is clear that Pacome will not be part of the squad for that fixture, but he could be ready to return when Yanga travel to Lindi to face Namungo FC on February 22 and possibly for the match against JKT Tanzania on February 25.
Pacome is also expected to be fully fit when Yanga host Simba in Matchday 54 of the NBC Premier League on March 1 at the New Amaan Complex in Zanzibar.
