Yanga have been eliminated from the CAF Champions League, failing to reach the quarter-finals despite a 3–0 victory over JS Kabylie in their final match.
The Citizens now return fully to domestic competitions, with a CRDB FA Cup Round of 64 clash against Cosmopolitan scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, February 18, at the KMC Complex.
It could be considered unfortunate for Cosmopolitan, as they are set to face a Yanga side coming off strong continental performances.
Although Yanga coach Pedro Goncalves may rotate his squad to rest some of the players who have featured heavily, the team remains strong and capable of dismantling Cosmopolitan, who play in the Championship league.
Goncalves’ players will take to the field tomorrow with the aim of starting the CRDB FA Cup campaign emphatically with a convincing win.
Yanga enter the competition as defending champions, having won the title for four consecutive seasons.
