Yanga head coach Pedro Goncalves has said his squad has traveled to Morocco fully aware of the task ahead of them in the CAF Champions League match against AS FAR, which will be played on Saturday.
Yanga departed Dar es Salaam yesterday, transiting through Dubai, and are expected to arrive in Morocco today.
Speaking shortly before βboarding the plane,β Goncalves said it is a crucial match for Yanga, one in which they will need to play with great caution while also having a clear strategy regarding the type of result they need.
"This is an important match for us. We must be careful and take precautions, but also have the determination to achieve our qualification objectives."
"If we get a win, we can qualify directly, but even if we manage a draw, we will still have a good chance of progressing."
"If we lose by one goal, we will still have a chance, but it will make things more difficult. However, if we lose by a two-goal margin, we will be eliminated from the competition."
"So, as I said earlier, we are going with caution, but we are confident," said Goncalves.
In simple terms, Yanga will need to win, or if three points prove difficult to obtain, return home with at least one point so they can finish the job in the final match against JS Kabylie.
