Young Africans SC (Yanga) are expected to officially announce the company that has won the tender to construct the club’s new stadium, planned to be built in the Jangwani area of Dar es Salaam, on Saturday, January 31, 2026.
The announcement is expected to be made immediately after a special meeting of the club’s Executive Committee, which has been convened specifically to discuss a single agenda item—the construction of Yanga’s stadium.
This was confirmed by the club’s Information and Communications Manager, Ali Kamwe, who stated that the name of the successful bidder will be made public after the meeting.
“The Executive Committee meeting will thoroughly discuss the issue of the club’s stadium, and once the meeting concludes, we will officially inform members and supporters of the company selected to partner with Yanga on this major project,” said Kamwe.
This step follows a process that began a few weeks ago, when Yanga officially invited both local and international companies to submit bids in line with the club’s publicly outlined stadium development plan. The companies were required to demonstrate financial capacity, technical expertise, and a clear implementation strategy for the project.
The construction of Yanga’s Jangwani Stadium is one of the club’s long-standing dreams shared by its members and supporters. The Jangwani area holds special historical significance for Yanga, as the club previously owned and operated a stadium at the same location.
