Yanga SC will be in action today at the KMC Complex at 7:00 pm as they take on Dodoma Jiji in the continuation of the NBC Premier League.
It is a tough fixture for the Wananchi, who have had just one day of rest since returning from Egypt, where they played a CAF Champions League match against Al Ahly.
Yanga assistant coach Patrick Mabedi said there was not enough time to fully prepare for the match, but emphasized that the team has a deep squad and remains hopeful of putting in a strong performance.
Teams had earlier been informed to be ready to cope with a congested schedule following the conclusion of the AFCON 2025 tournament.
All domestic leagues are required to conclude by the end of May to make way for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which is scheduled to begin in June.
After this match, Yanga will travel to the Zanzibar Islands to finalize preparations for their CAF Champions League encounter against Al Ahly, set to be played on Saturday, January 31, at the New Amaan Complex.
