After losing their CAF Champions League match against Egypt’s Al Ahly, the Yanga squad is returning home to prepare for the return leg against the historic African champions, which will be played on January 31 at the New Amaan Complex stadium in Zanzibar.
Before that match, on Tuesday, January 27, Yanga will take to the pitch at KMC Complex to play a rescheduled NBC Premier League fixture against Dodoma Jiji.
Following that encounter, Wananchi will head to Zanzibar to complete their preparations for facing Al Ahly for the second time within a single week.
This is a match in which Wananchi will need all three points to keep their hopes of reaching the CAF Champions League quarterfinals alive.
On the domestic front, Yanga are determined to maintain their strong start as part of their strategy to defend the league title for a fifth consecutive season.
