Yanga today sent a strong warning to other NBC Premier League teams after dismantling Mashujaa FC 6–0 in a match played at the KMC Complex.
Wananchi dominated the match from the opening minute, and it was only a question of how many goals Yanga would score.
Mohamed Damaro opened the scoring early in the 7th minute, heading home a well-delivered cross from Dickson Job.
Pacome Zouzoua and Duke Abuya added two more goals before halftime, sending Wananchi into the break with a commanding 3–0 lead.
In the second half, Yanga picked up right where they left off, adding three more goals through Prince Dube, Mudathir Yahya, and Laurindo Dilson ‘Depu,’ who came on in the second half.
Depu finished off a rebound spilled by goalkeeper Erick Johora after a free-kick strike from Allan Okello.
Not only did Depu score, but he also provided the assist for Mudathir Yahya’s goal.
It was a resounding victory that sends Yanga to the top of the league standings. A clear message to their rivals: beware and be prepared…
