Today at 10:00 p.m., Yanga will take to the pitch at the KMC Complex to face Mashujaa FC in the continuation of the NBC Premier League.
Yanga supporters are eagerly waiting to see whether their new stars, Laurindo Dilson Maria Aurelio, popularly known as Depu, together with Allan Okello, will feature in the match.
The Yanga leadership has made efforts to ensure that the players’ permits are obtained in time, and there is a possibility they could be seen in action today at the KMC Complex.
Other new signings, Emmanuel Mwanengo and Mohamed Damaro, were already seen in action during the Mapinduzi Cup, where Yanga lifted the trophy after defeating Azam 5–4 on penalties.
Okello and Depu have fully participated in training sessions ahead of the match, and it can be said that they are ready to start fighting for the Yanga badge.
Yanga signed these stars as key players to strengthen areas that had shown challenges, particularly in attack.
Today’s match against Mashujaa FC could also be used by Yanga as part of their preparations for the CAF Champions League clash against Al Ahly.
It is clear that Yanga head coach Pedro Goncalves will want to use these new signings to assess how quickly they can fit into his system.
