The excitement of the NBC Premier League continues today as defending champions Yanga take to the pitch at the KMC Complex to face Mashujaa FC.
This will be Yanga’s first league match of 2026, with Wananchi keen to build on the strong run of form with which they ended the 2025 season.
A win would see Yanga move to the top of the league standings and extend the points gap over their rivals Simba, who were held to a 1–1 draw by Mtibwa Sugar yesterday.
In this match, Yanga fans could get the chance to see their new stars Mohamed Damaro Camara, Allan Okello, Emmanuel Mwanengo, and even Depu, all of whom were part of the squad that completed preparations yesterday ahead of the game.
Yanga head coach Pedro Goncalves will use the match as part of his team’s preparations for their CAF Champions League clash against Al Ahly, scheduled to be played this Friday in Egypt.
