Players Clement Mzize and Mudathir Yahya are close to returning to the Yanga squad after their fitness levels improved.
Yanga’s Information and Communications Manager, Ali Kamwe, has confirmed that the two stars have resumed team training as they move closer to officially rejoining the squad.
Mudathir and Mzize had a slow start to the season after being hampered by recurring injuries.

Mzize was forced to undergo knee surgery following an injury sustained while on national team duty during the CHAN 2024 tournament, before suffering a setback again as Yanga were preparing for a CAF Champions League match against Silver Strikers.
The two players could be fit in time to face Al Ahly in the third round of Group B matches in the CAF Champions League.
Al Ahly and Yanga will meet in a match scheduled for January 23 in Egypt, before facing each other again a week later in Zanzibar.
