The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed the schedule for the third round of group-stage matches in the CAF Champions League.
Yanga, who are in Group B alongside Al Ahly, AS FAR, and JS Kabylie, will travel to Egypt on Friday, January 23, to face the tournament’s record champions Al Ahly.
The match is expected to kick off at 7:00 p.m. Tanzanian time. The two teams will meet again a week later in Zanzibar.
These will be 180 minutes of sweat and determination for Yanga, which could ultimately decide their fate in the race to qualify for the quarterfinals.
Yanga need to collect at least three points from the African football giants in order to put themselves in a strong position to secure a place in the quarterfinals.
