Tanzania Mainland champions Yanga will be in action today at the New Amaan Complex in Zanzibar as they face Singida Black Stars in the Mapinduzi Cup semifinal.
The highly anticipated encounter, eagerly awaited by football fans across the country, will kick off at 8:15 p.m.
Yesterday, Azam FC booked their place in the final after defeating Simba 1–0 in the other semifinal.
The winner of today’s match will take on Azam FC in the final, scheduled to be played on January 13 at Gombani Stadium in Pemba.
It is clear that the match will not be an easy one, but Yanga head coach Pedro Gonçalves has stated that his players will fight hard to ensure they reach the final.
Gonçalves is chasing his first trophy with Yanga, having taken over from Romain Folz, who despite a short spell with the club, guided the “Wananchi” to the Community Shield title.
