Good news for Yanga supporters is that they will continue to see defender Frank Assink in action at least until the end of the season after Singida Black Stars failed in their attempt to recall him.
Assink is currently playing for Yanga on loan, and Singida Black Stars had requested that the player be returned to their squad.
However, that plan appears to have collapsed after the Singida-based club signed two defenders: Abdulmalick Zacharia from Mashujaa FC and Abdallah Kheri from Pamba Jiji.
Assink will now continue serving the Wananchi until his loan spell expires, with Yanga possibly considering a permanent transfer.
The Ghanaian defender has impressed in coach Pedro Gonçalves’ squad in the last two matches, securing his place to remain at Jangwani.
