It is reported that Yanga President, Engineer Hersi Said, has traveled to Uganda in pursuit of the signature of Vipers FC attacking midfielder Allan Okello.
As part of the proposed squad improvements at Yanga, head coach Pedro Gonçalves has requested reinforcements in the attacking midfield position, with Okello viewed as the right fit for that role.
Okello has been a key player for both Vipers FC and the Uganda national team in recent months, shining in the CHAN 2024 tournament that was hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.
Okello could be an ideal replacement for Stephane Aziz Ki, whose departure has left a noticeable gap despite the signing of Mohammed Doumbia, who many feel has yet to fully meet expectations.
If Yanga succeeds in completing his signing, the club will have secured a player capable of effectively creating chances as well as scoring goals himself.
