As the mid-season transfer window set to open on January 1, 2026 approaches, Yanga’s Media and Communications Manager, Ali Kamwe, has confirmed that the club’s Chief Executive Officer, Andre Mtine, has already received a report from the technical bench outlining the areas that require improvement.
Kamwe said the club’s leadership has already begun working on the report, with discussions having taken place with targeted players.
“The report has already reached our Chief Executive Officer and work has begun on it. We are about 80 percent through in terms of implementing what the report outlined regarding strengthening the team, and things are going well,” Kamwe said.
“We are in talks with no fewer than three players, and the discussions are progressing at about 85 percent,” he added.
“We believe this window is not one for taking chances. It is a window for strengthening the squad because we clearly understand which areas need to be reinforced,” Kamwe emphasized.
The areas expected to be strengthened include defensive midfield, attacking midfield, and the striker position.
