Yanga’s squad will conclude training today, after which players will return home to reunite with their families for the Christmas holidays.
Yanga’s Media and Communications Manager, Ali Kamwe, said the players will have a one-week break and are scheduled to resume training on December 28 as they continue preparations for upcoming fixtures.
“We have had a full week of training, and the players are now heading into another break to allow them to celebrate the Christmas holidays close to their families,” Kamwe said.
“On the 28th, the players will report back to camp, and once they return we will begin preparations and intensify training ahead of Premier League matches and other competitions,” he added.
Yanga are among the eight teams that have confirmed participation in the Mapinduzi Cup, which is expected to kick off on December 29.
However, Yanga head coach Pedro Gonçalves may opt to field a limited number of first-team players, supplementing the squad with others from the youth team.
