Yanga Head Coach Pedro Goncalves says his team is ready for tomorrow’s Premier League match against Coastal Union, scheduled for Sunday at the Jamhuri Stadium in Dodoma.
Speaking during a press conference earlier today, Goncalves admitted that the team has not had enough time to prepare, but he believes in the quality of his squad and is confident his players will be ready to fight for three points in what he expects to be a difficult match.
“Our preparations have not been extensive ahead of tomorrow’s match because of the short time we’ve had since our previous game. Some players are fully fit while others are still fatigued. But in our minds, we know what we want, and we are here to fight for three points.”
“The statistics of our opponents don't lie—they have conceded very few goals in the matches they’ve played, and every time we meet them, it’s always tough. We know tomorrow won’t be an easy match, but we have a strong squad and we will fight to ensure we collect three points,” Goncalves said.
Speaking on behalf of his teammates, Offen Chikola said the players understand the importance of the match and will step onto the Jamhuri pitch determined to secure victory.
“On behalf of my teammates, we have prepared well to face Coastal Union tomorrow. It’s true our matches against them are usually tough, but we know the importance of this game and we’re ready to win.”
“Our members and fans are a crucial part of our team. Dodoma is home, and we believe they will show up in large numbers tomorrow to support us,” Chikola added.
