You could say Yanga goalkeeper Djigui Diarra is “not smiling with anyone” this season, as he is on a mission to reclaim his crown in the NBC Premier League.
After missing out on the Best Goalkeeper award for the past two seasons, Diarra has returned with a clear determination to win it back.
So far, he has not conceded a single goal in the three league matches he has played this season.
Additionally, Diarra became the first goalkeeper to win the NBC Premier League Player of the Month award, which he received last month.
In the four preliminary matches of the CAF Champions League, Diarra conceded only one goal — the only one scored against him across all competitions this season.
