The Silver Strikers team from Malawi is expected to arrive in Tanzania on Thursday ahead of the second-leg clash in the CAF Champions League qualifying round for a group stage ticket against Yanga.
Yanga’s Media and Communications Manager, Ali Kamwe, said the team will land in the country at around 8:30 PM.
Kamwe also confirmed that Silver Strikers will be given a training session at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium on Friday at 5:00 PM — the same time the match will kick off on Saturday.
As Silver Strikers prepare to land, Yanga continues with its preparations ahead of the crucial match where the Wananchi need only one result — a win by at least 2–0 to qualify for the group stage.
Interim coach Patrick Mabedi is determined to overturn the first-leg deficit and guide Yanga into the group stage.
