Yanga SC today set a record by launching three official members’ branches in Malawi.
The inauguration ceremony was held earlier today, led by Yanga President Engineer Hersi Said.
Speaking during the event, Hersi congratulated the Director of Fans and Members, Ibrahim Samwel, for the efforts made to keep Yanga close to its stakeholders both inside and outside the country.
Hersi urged members to pay their membership fees on time to ensure they remain part of the club’s development.
"I congratulate the Members Department and its director Ibrahim Samwel for the great work they are doing. One of their major achievements is the strength of the relationship between the Club and its Members. Today here in Malawi we are making history by opening three branches of our Club."
"The history between Yanga and Malawi is long, and it has built great respect for our Club and strengthened relations between us and this Nation. Later today, to honour the great contribution of Coach Jack Chamangwana, we have invited his wife to be one of our special guests at today’s match."
"It will be a great honour for us as Coach Mabedi, who is from Malawi, will also be on our technical bench. The history of Mabedi is not far from that of Coach Chamangwana, and without a doubt he too will leave a big mark of success at our Club."
"I urge the leaders of the branches to continue encouraging our Members to pay their fees. If you have paid before and your term has expired, it is important to fulfil your constitutional duty to support the economy of this Club. Thank you very much to our new members from Malawi for showing goodwill in supporting their Club," said Hersi.
