On Thursday, October 16, Yanga’s squad will depart from Dar es Salaam for Malawi in preparation for the first-leg match of the CAF Champions League qualification round against Silver Strikers.
On Saturday, October 18, Yanga will play away at the Bingu Stadium, facing their hosts in the first 90 minutes of the battle to qualify for the group stage.
Yanga’s Media and Communications Manager, Ali Kamwe, stated that the team will leave the country on Thursday and arrive in Malawi the same day.
Yanga will have one day to finalize their preparations in Malawi ahead of the match, which is scheduled to kick off at 4:00 p.m. Tanzanian time (3:00 p.m. local time in Malawi).
“The team continues its preparations at Avic Town, where the squad officially entered camp yesterday. We expect to leave the country on Thursday, ready for the match to be played on Saturday,” said Kamwe.
He also mentioned that a convoy of fans will depart the country on Wednesday, with 40 buses already confirmed to transport supporters to Malawi.
Kamwe urged fans to continue taking advantage of this opportunity to travel to Malawi and boost their team’s morale, with the goal of having no fewer than 50 buses making the trip.
