Following the government’s decision to suspend the use of Benjamin Mkapa Stadium for Premier League matches, Yanga SC are expected to return to the KMC Complex.
The Benjamin Mkapa Stadium is entering another phase of renovation, forcing Yanga and Simba — the two clubs previously permitted to use the venue — to seek alternative grounds.
Last season, Yanga began their campaign at the Azam Complex before moving to the KMC Complex, where they won all their matches played at that venue.
Yanga played one league match at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium this season, defeating Pamba Jiji 3–0.
International matches may continue to be held at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium or possibly be relocated to the New Amaan Complex in Zanzibar.
