Yanga SC defender Ibrahim Bacca has been suspended for five matches after being found guilty of stamping on Mbeya City player Ibrahim Ame during a Premier League clash earlier this week.
The referee of that match, Omary Mdoe, has also been suspended for five rounds after failing to correctly interpret the laws of the game during the incident.
The Ligi Kuu Board’s Disciplinary and Competition Committee issued the punishments following Mdoe’s controversial decisions, which included denying Yanga a penalty after Matheo Anthony handled the ball inside the box and failing to take action against Bacca’s foul on Ame.
Additionally, Yanga’s Director of Competitions Ibrahim Mohammed and two stadium stewards, Soudy Hussein and Shamte Mkumba, have each been suspended for three months. They were accused of obstructing TFF security officials from carrying out their duties as per regulations.
