Today marks the birthday of Yanga attacking midfielder Shekhan Khamis, another talented player from the Zanzibar islands.
Yanga has a tradition of recruiting young, talented players from Zanzibar, and Shekhan is among those who have benefited from this system.
Now in his second season with Yanga, Shekhan has continued to develop, and it is only a matter of time before he becomes one of the biggest names in Tanzanian football.
He is currently part of the Tanzania national team squad participating in the 2024 CHAN tournament.
