New Yanga striker Andy Boyeli has arrived in Dar es Salaam, awaiting his official unveiling as the latest signing for the Tanzanian Premier League champions.
The DR Congo forward joins Yanga from South African top-flight side Sekhukhune United. Reports indicate that Yanga's new head coach Romain Folz specifically requested the signing of Boyeli.
Last season, Boyeli scored seven goals for Sekhukhune in the South African Premier Division, where the leagueβs top scorer netted 14. In the 2022/23 season, he played for Power Dynamos in Zambia, where he claimed the Golden Boot with 18 goals and was also named Most Valuable Player (MVP).
Boyeli is expected to fill the void left by Kennedy Musonda, who left for Israel after his contract with Yanga expired.
