Tanzania Premier League champions Yanga have confirmed the contract extension of their attacking midfielder Maxi Nzengeli.
Maxi has signed a new two-year deal to continue his stay in the Twiga and Jangwani neighborhoods of Dar es Salaam.
This is an important step for Yanga as they aim to retain their key first-team players.
Maxi had been surrounded by numerous transfer rumors during the current window, with various reports suggesting he had not signed a new contract with Yanga.
However, it appears the Yanga management had quietly finalized the deal long ago, simply observing the speculation unfold.
With Pacome Zouzoua, Duke Abuya, Mudathir Yahya, and now Maxi all having extended their contracts,
It means Yanga will maintain strength in their midfield and attack, as these players were the engine behind the teamβs midfield success last season.
